Louise Tomcheck

Owner/Head Teacher

Louise is a second generation authentic Pilates instructor. She has worked in the field of human movement for over 20 years, first as a professional dancer and dance teacher and later in mainstream fitness. She was introduced to Pilates after sustaining a back injury. Amazed by her recovery while doing Pilates she began training and working at IsoFit, the first Pilates studio in Hong Kong. She later pursued training in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta and has trained with many well respected instructors including Jerome Weinberg, Cynthia Lockard and Dorothee VandeWalle. She has had the great privilege of training with and being certified by Romana Kryzanowska at the center in Sydney, Australia in 2000. She founded her own studio, Core Ability, in Hong Kong in 2003. In 2004 she was approached by Peak Pilates to become an instructor trainer and she trained instructors in Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. In 2008, she relocated with her family to Whistler, BC, Canada.

Lindsay McLachlan

Senior Teacher

I consider myself a Pilates enthusiast. I have been exploring The Method created by Joseph Pilates for just under two decades, as both a student and as a teacher. I completed my Teacher Training program through Whistler Pilates in the summer of 2018. I will often tell my students, "that in Pilates there is no finish line. As you deepen your practice and understanding of the method the road becomes a journey". As my understanding grows so does my dedication to continue my education and learning by attending workshops and participating in as many sessions as I can. "To truly understand the Method you must feel it in your own body." I love to teach and I am grateful that this is my career.
